Its rugged, portable chassis makes it ideal for mobile productions, while Thunderbolt 3 connectivity ensures seamless integration into professional workstations.

High-Speed Data Transfers

Designed for demanding workflows, the Shuttle 8 delivers sequential read and write speeds of up to 1900 MB/s, enabling smooth playback and fast file transfers for high-resolution media. When configured as RAID 5, it achieves read speeds of up to 1690 MB/s and write speeds of up to 1490 MB/s, ensuring an optimal balance between performance and data protection.

Built-In Hardware RAID

The Shuttle 8 features a dedicated hardware RAID controller supporting a wide range of RAID configurations, including RAID 0, 1, 1E, 5, 6, 10, 50, and 60, as well as JBOD. This flexibility allows users to tailor the system for maximum performance, redundancy, or capacity based on project requirements. The unit ships preconfigured as RAID 5 and formatted for macOS 11 and later, with support for Windows 10 and later via reformatting.

Enterprise-Class Drive Reliability

Inside the enclosure are eight removable Ultrastar enterprise-class 7200 rpm hard drives, built for sustained performance and mission-critical workloads. These drives are engineered for reliability under heavy use, making the Shuttle 8 a dependable solution for production, backup, and archival storage.

Daisy-Chaining & Workflow Expansion

Equipped with dual 40 Gb/s Thunderbolt 3 ports, the Shuttle 8 allows you to daisy chain up to five additional devices, including external drives and 4K displays, all through a single cable connection. This keeps workstations clean and efficient while expanding connectivity options.

USB Power Delivery Convenience

With support for up to 85W USB Power Delivery, the Shuttle 8 can charge compatible MacBook and MacBook Pro systems directly through the Thunderbolt 3 connection, reducing cable clutter and eliminating the need for a separate power adapter.
